This is a novella, roughly triple the length of past Bubba stories. That means three times the pages, three times the fights, three times the off-color jokes, and three times the awesome!

Bubba, Skeeter, Amy and Joe are on vacation in New Orleans when everything goes sideways in The Big Easy and Bubba has to step in and save the day. Between beignets and hurricanes he has to deal with local constabulary, zombies, good vampires, bad vampires (who can tell the difference?), magical murders, a clothing-averse voodoo priest, and the sexy leather-clad Hunter for the Bayou territory.

Will Bubba hook up with the delicious Evangeline?

Will Amy shoot Bubba's boys off if he thinks about it?

Will Skeeter find love in the Crescent City?

Will there be more zombies shot, shattered and decapitated than any other Bubba story?

Find out, in Moon over Bourbon Street!

I have been missing Jim Butcher and The Dresden Files and Justin Gustainus, and haven't found a lot to replace these series. I LOVE Bubba and John Hartness' style of writing. I'm from Charlotte, so I especially loved the inferences to the city, our local teams, and some of its inhabitants! If you love the Dresden Files, you'll love this series. Also by Hartness is the Quincy Harker series and Black Knight series. I love all of them. Sometimes there was a bit more gun/ammo description than I preferred, but it makes sense with the character. I wish the books were longer!

What a hoot! The team is on vacation in NOLA and wind up on a mission to destroy a vampire magic user who is causing big problems. Lots of guns, knives, and more with some real unexpected twists. I loved it!
John Solo does a fine job narrating for Bubba.
Hartness delivers yet another great bubba story!
Of the current literary monster-hunters, Bubba is a favorite! A great mix of action and humor that never disappoints. Absolutely love the shout-out to Tuck's Deacon Chalk! Do I dare say "crossover?"
New characters, a fun romp and Bubba keeps getting better and better. A great place for new readers to jump in.
Bubba and the gang have gone to New Orleans for a well-deserved vacation, but they get caught up in someone's attempt to take down the vampire Master of the City. Mayhem ensues as they deal with a rogue vampire, butt-naked voodoo practitioners, and zombies--lots of zombies. Another fun read by John Hartness.
The author is getting better with each effort. He has succeeded in making the characters interesting and there is definite character development going on; which when the main character is named Bubba is a surprise.
I am a big Bubba the Monster hunter fan and this did not disappoint. Just goes to show that a monster hunters work is never done... even on vacation in the Big Easy. I love that this was longer than the usual short stories and that there was a bit of mystery, didn't really know the head of the snake from the beginning.
